Purity of sound
In order to allow more of the music to come through, most companies focus on reducing power supply noise. Battery power frees up this constraint. Moving beyond convention, a more engaging listening experience is created by focusing on distortion and tonal influences caused by component construction, circuitry design, and materials employed.
Where tomorrow meets yesterday
New technology is not always better. Some technologies are developed and employed for efficiency or mask issues. The determining factors should be performance and benefits for the listening experience. For example, microprocessors are employed along side vacuum tube and class a transistors. Three different technology generations working together to deliver an engaging listening experience.
Modularity
All products are constructed using in-house designed and built modules. This approach ensures a consistent user experience across the product line. Headphone modules provide growth opportunities through the purchasing interchangeable modules, rather than a whole new headphone.
Hidden complexity
Technology can be complex but should not get in the way of the listening experience. For example, amplification products have a minimum of two microprocessors that focus on the user interaction and optimal performance. To provide an uncluttered experience there is a simple screen and three touch pads source, volume up, and volume down. The complexity of the product is hidden to allow for a more focused listening experience.
